How to enhance your powerEdit
During a player's journey in Sword of Chaos, enhancing one's skill level determines the strength of one's skills. Upgrading your skills or improving it with runes also has an impact of a character's overall power stat, which directly affects certain events and outcomes. Knowing how to upgrade skills is the first step into building a stronger foundation.
The first step is to access the Strengthen Menu which can be found on the bottom right hand corner of the Player's User Interface, which is accessible within any parts of the city. To improve the Skill's level, the first icon listed as "Skills" must be tapped to access it.
The first thing I want to mention is our skill. As we know, compared with the normal attack, our skills need to cost MP but it’s also more powerful than normal attack. A perfect combo of normal and skill attack can generate a huge damage on the enemies. You can open up all your basic 6 skills before Lvl 25 and enhance them after Lvl 40. The interesting thing is that you only have 4 slots to equip the skills which can be used in battle, so it means that you have to make a hard choice to decide to take which one. Sometime, you also need to change your skills set to restraint your enemies. The last but not least thing is that: Don’t forget to level up your skills with your own level!
Upon opening the Skills Interface, all six skills which belongs to a player's class will be listed. The last 2 skills are locked at player levels 5 and 7 respectively. Each skill has a level which corresponds with a character's level. For example, a player who is level 27 will be able to raise their skills up to level 27. Skills can be leveled up by clicking on the proper skill's icon and selecting level up, which will consume gold each time it is leveled up, which raises in cost with higher levels.
Each skill can be equipped to one of the four available slots when in combat, allowing only four out of the six available skills usable. These skills are only interchangeable in the main city and cannot be change when in an instance, arena, or any form of combat.
Rune System Edit
The Rune System is a system that modifies skill attributes such as damage, elemental damage, mp consumption and so on. To change a skill's attribute with runes, runes must be earn either from events or formed together by using Rune Fragments, which are obtainable from in-game events, in the Rune Mall which is available in the Rune Interface.
Some obtained runes can only be used for certain skills or certain classes
Each skill can only equipped at maximum 3 runes as long as they are not the same type of rune (Example: Equipping Two Runes that boost critical damage, even if one rune boosts 3.40 critical damage and the second one boosts 4.50 critical damage, will be rejected).
Fusing Runes takes three existing runes and combining them into a random rune. Using this system has a chance to randomly produce a single higher tier rune. The rune created can be chosen from any class, any skill, and any rune attribute, which means it is possible to get a rune that belongs to another class.
It is recommended that any runes that are unusable be fused together for a chance to obtain a rune that fits one's class while raising the quality of the rune.
The Rune Mall can be used to purchased basic runes that can be used from any selected skill. These rune fragments are obtained through special events, boxes, or by fusing runes together.
